The Los Angeles Center Studios began its life in 1958 as the Union Oil Center designed by architect William Pereira & Charlies Luckman in the Miesian style. In 1999, a few years after the Unocal moved their headquarters, the complex was converted into a movie studio with the construction of 6 sound stages.
