But not hidden in a spectacular pre-Columbian statuette like in Hitchcock's 'North by Northwest', but in an inconspicuous matchbox from GDR production, manufactured by VEB Zündholzwerk at Coswig (Anhalt), Roßlau county in Halle district. Immediately afterwards, the passenger, an East German toy dealer (Alexander Allerson), will prepare a Barbie doll with the microfilm in the train toilet and throw it out of the running train at an agreed location before the border controls at Probstzella station. By the way, officially no Barbies were available in the GDR, except of course on the black market or as coveted gifts for or from SED bigwigs.
